My parents spent many years holidaying on the North Norfolk coast. When we had our daughter, holidays abroad weren't as relaxing as they use to be! We took our daughter to Greece just before her 2nd birthday and said never again until she's older.
We started camping, firstly with a trailer tent and later brought a caravan and spent our holidays either in Devon or Norfolk. My parents had always said they wanted to retire near to the coast. In November 2008, they retired to Mundesley. We had never heard of Mundesley although it is in an area of Norfolk we have visited many times.
On our first visit I couldn't believe that this beautiful village with amazing sandy beach was so close to areas we had previously visited and never been there. We then started staying in and around Mundesley. Our favourite place to stay was Links Chalet Park. With holidays now restricted to school holidays and having a dog, holidays were more difficult to plan.
After returning from a work placement in the British Virgin Islands in January 2012 the need for a break near the sea was a must! No, we wouldn't get palm trees, white sandy beaches, beautifully brightly coloured wooden huts and sunshine everyday in the UK. The search began, in April 2012 we found the ideal place and on 1st June (our wedding anniversary) CaribbCay was ours.
We hope you enjoy CaribbCay as much as we do...
